Like the other hundreds of millions of viewers and social media addicts, I held my breath during the Winter Olympics, sharing the triumphs, disappointments and devastations of some of the world’s greatest athletes. I was proud—not just of my own country’s participants—understanding the level of discipline and devotion that made them great.
