As the U.S. is celebrating its first 250 years, it’s time to ask: Who are America’s real patriots? Are they the young soldiers whose employment has put them in harm's way? Are they the supposedly loyal public servants who have run for public office and become cogs in the legislative machine?

And, to get down to the nitty-gritty, is Donald Trump, himself, a patriot? Well, here it is in a nutshell—a definition of what is, and what is not, a patriot. Soldiers are typically young people, who, unqualified for higher education or well-paid jobs, look at the military as hope for something better.
