Obviously, COVID wasn’t great for America’s children. Today, six years after the pandemic hit, educators and experts agree that shuttered schools and ineffective online education delayed learning for millions. The test scores that measure learning have largely rebounded, but one key metric remains far worse than before the pandemic: attendance.
All across America, and certainly in Utah and Salt Lake City, fewer students are attending school. However, despite this massive problem, another key metric remains strong: graduation rates.
