The Day America Died Don McLean’s 1971 song “American Pie” lamented about “the day the music died”—the plane crash deaths of three rock ‘n roll icons, as well as the turmoil that America was going through in many areas of life. From Vietnam, a wrong war that tore apart our common soul.

Even recovering from Tricky Dick. (Note: Richard Nixon, a Republican, law-and-order, false preacher, who claimed, “When the President does it, that means that it is not illegal.”) We recovered because we had enough good people in our government and an honest Supreme Court majority to prove Nixon was wrong!
