I don’t say this lightly, but bad pet owners are a plague in Salt Lake City—particularly at our parks and throughout our expansive system of hiking trails. I truly don’t mean to be inflammatory. But it is astounding to me how often people think their dogs are special little exceptions to every clearly-posted placard, who think their dog’s poop doesn’t stink.
Go to Memory Grove and up City Creek Canyon. Watch all of the dogs running wild in the on-leash areas of the park and bathing in the E. Coli-infected water (despite signs everywhere warning against it).
