Miss: Star Power Utah’s culinary prowess is finally recognized by the elusive Michelin Guide! And the winner is … who, now? Kudos to Monte for Utah’s first Michelin star , but this “Culinary Expression of the Land” is hardly a household name. Chef Martín Babio has operated within Beehive Distillery for just over a year and few have yet had the chance to try the French, Italian and South American-inspired cuisine.
We celebrate this step forward for Monte and Salt Lake dining, but it’s OK to feel miffed that additional stars weren’t offered to more established favorites.
