Benjamin Wood CAPITOL HILL—The Utah House voted 55-15 for a bill that creates an ebike certification program, providing a legal path for minors to operate electric-assisted devices, unsupervised, on streets and roadways.
Under HB381 , children between the ages of 8 and 15 could complete an online training course on street and bicycle safety, similar to the youth certification programs for snowmobiles, ATVs and other outdoor recreation vehicles.
