Colony *** There’s not a lot that’s radically new to co-writer/director Yeon Sang-ho’s spin on zombie horror; it’s simply a solidly-constructed survival yarn that maybe could have benefitted from a little more clarity to the “rules” of its infected antagonists.

It opens at a biotech conference in Seoul, where disgruntled scientist Suh Young-chul (Koo Kyo-hwan) releases his experimental viral agent that turns its victims into neck-biting monsters that operate as a sort of interconnected hive-mind.
