Carolina Caroline *** I’m convinced that there is no formula/genre/premise, no matter how well-worn, that can’t be made worthwhile by solid execution, and here’s further evidence of that idea in this “lovers on the run” thriller from director Adam Rehmeier and screenwriter Tom Dean.
It involves a young Texas woman named Caroline Daniels (Samara Weaving) who encounters itinerant con man Oliver (Kyle Gallner), and impulsively takes off with him to learn his tricks of the trade.
