I Swear The controversy involving John Davidson’s vocal-tic outbursts at the February 2026 BAFTA Awards ceremony shouldn’t necessarily complicate this film version of his life story, but it does draw into focus why some of its tonal choices occasionally feel awkward.
Writer/director Kirk Jones ( Waking Ned Devine ) adapts Davidson’s memoir, following him from his teenage years (Scott Ellis Watson) when symptoms of Tourette syndrome first begin to appear, through his adulthood (Robert Aramayo) and the attempt to find a happy life despite the challenges of his condition.
