David Corenswet in Superman Abraham's Boys *1/2 While I haven't read the 2005 Joe Hill short story that's the source material for Natasha Kermani's thriller, you can see the bones of a fascinating coming-of-age story concept—but as a movie, or at least as this movie, it just doesn't work.
The “Abraham” of the title is the legendary vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing (Titus Welliver), who's now living in Central California circa 1915, married to Mina neé Murray (Jocelin Donahue) and with two sons, teenager Max (Brady Hepner) and adolescent Rudy (Judah Mackey).
