Danny Brown @ The Complex 11/21 Danny Brown is one of the most creative, boundary pushing, intelligent, focused and, most of all, respectful hip-hop artists creating music right now. His newest project, Stardust , is his first since getting sober and while all of his albums are enjoyable and worth a spin, I’m really hoping this is the one that breaks him through to a deserved, wider audience.
There’s a good deal more sophistication, nuance, wordplay and intertextuality on display here. It builds on everything that came before.
