The company, which was originally known as Utah Power and Light, serves most of Utah and some parts of Idaho and Wyoming. It's a division of PacifiCorp and is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy.

We first got electricity in Utah in 1881 through a company called Salt Lake City Light, which made it the fifth city to have central station electricity.
